Description
We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Network Administrator in Lakewood, Colorado. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in managing Cisco Technology and Firewall Technologies within our telecom industry. This position involves both office and field work, including configuring systems in-office and installing them at client sites.
Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain Cisco routers and other Cisco technologies
Develop and implement Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) systems
Oversee and manage firewall technologies, ensuring the security of our network
Train and mentor interns on the nuances of Cisco equipment and its distinguishing features from other equipment
Configure systems in-office and perform installation work at client sites
Handle troubleshooting and device configuration utilizing Cisco IOS Commands
Work with backup technologies and configuration management to ensure data safety and system efficiency
Continually improve networking technologies, including routers, switches, and firewalls
Assist in disaster recovery planning and penetration testing, providing a growth opportunity for gaining new skills.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in a Network Administrator role or similar.
Proficient in Cisco Technologies.
Familiarity with Firewall Technologies.
Experience with Backup Technologies.
Sound knowledge of Computer Hardware.
Understanding of Configuration Management.
Capable of troubleshooting network issues efficiently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Certifications in network administration or related fields will be a plus.
